Porcelain War's Andrey Stefanov nominated for ASC Documentary Award
We are honoured to announce that Porcelain War Cinematographer, Andrey Stefanov, has been nominated for the 2025 American Society of Cinematographers Documentary Award. Andrey has been an oil painter his entire life, never having picked up a camera. When Ukraine was invaded in 2022, he translated his skills in painting–light, composition, texture, and emotion–into the craft of cinematography. With this new language of cinema, he captured the story of everyday people defiantly finding inspiration and beauty amidst destruction. In the end, 15 cameras, including GoPros and drones, were used to capture over 500 hours of footage.
